About This Pipe

Dunhill's "Shilling" stamp denoted Shell Briars that feature exceptional sandblasts, and this hearty bent Billiard features just that. Overall, it's quite the handsome Dunhill as its warm finish is perfectly complemented by a cumberland stem. Not to mention its generously sized chamber makes this a worthy house pipe candidate.

Much like the marque's "Ring Grain" stamp, the Shilling appellation is reserved for pipes that display exceptional sandblasted grain. Originally introduced in 1995, the Shilling is named for the silver coin formerly used in England as the concentric display of ring grain resembles a stack of shillings. Where Ring Grain pieces feature a dark stain and black stem, Shilling pipes, like this particular example, wear finishes similar to the firm's Cumberland and County series, fitted with cumberland stems. It's a stellar piece that's perfect for Dunhill collectors seeking out a truly unique, one-of-a-kind design.
