Since their founding in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello has handcrafted high-quality pipes and helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes has helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This bent Dublin belongs to Castello's Great Line series, which consists of pipes that are generally larger than Castello's usual fare. This bent Dublin is certainly larger, as it offers over six inches of length and a bowl over two inches tall. As one might expect from its height, the bowl here houses a capacious chamber within its thick, plateau-crowned frame, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions. Out back, a tight-knit transition marries the aforementioned bowl to an upturned shank and a demurely curved tapered stem. The gorgeous Collection finish dresses the briar and highlights healthy grain across the bowl's flanks.
