About This Pipe

The late Italian carver Baldo Baldi leveraged his background as an architect to craft some truly handsome pipes. Baldi was an esteemed and well-respected artisan who had high standards for his pipes, only utilizing briar that had been aged for 20-25 years. A fetching example of the artisan's craftsmanship, this Apple possesses a neoclassical profile: The full-bodied bowl at the pipe's fore overshadows the comparatively trim shank-and-stem arrangement that trails behind. Dressed in a warm smooth finish, the stummel offers a wealth of attractive grain, with licks of flame rising along the bowl's flanks.
