Not long after moving from Italy to the United States at sixteen, Thomas Cristiano found work at the S.M. Frank factory in New York — known for producing Kaywoodie pipes. He began his pipe-making journey as a floor boy, selecting, organizing, and stocking briar and pipes. After spending a decade at the factory, Cristiano progressed to making and selling his own pipes under two different marques: T. Cristiano and Calabresi. Cristiano's overall portfolio runs the gamut from reserved, classic pipes to extravagant Freehands.
