About This Pipe
Founded in 1969 by former Castello employees Guiseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice, Caminetto has enjoyed years of success thanks to their unique, innovative approach that helped shape the Italian neoclassic carving style. Today, Guiseppe's grandson, Tommaso "Tommi" Ascorti, carries on the Caminetto legacy, handcrafting each pipe to perfection. This Rhodesian is one of the latest offerings from the Italian marque, and with its dual finish and distinctive silhouette, it's an excellent example of their striking, innovative style.
This offering pairs a pert, trim bowl to a slender, cylindrical shank and a long, tapered stem. The bowl has a subtle forward cant for a touch of dynamism, and the slender, lengthy shank-and-stem arrangement keeps things sleek in profile. The stummel wears a bold partial rustication, with the bowl enveloped in craggy texture and the shank left smooth for a pop of contrast. For the smoker who appreciates distinctive takes on classic shapes, this pipe is sure to please.
