About This Pipe
Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello's commitment to handcrafting high-quality pipes helped elevate the reputation of Italian pipes to luxury status. Furthermore, Castello's personal shaping approach to pipes helped cultivate the bowl-centric and whimsical Italian neoclassic aesthetic. This Great Line bent Dublin from Castello is a notable example of the Italian workshop's style, measuring over seven inches in length. The bowl features a chamber that is over two inches deep, perfect for long, leisurely smoking sessions, enhanced by the well-bent stem. The bowl's tall flanks are crowned with a portion of undulating plateau, which adds an organic quality to the design. In contrast to the bowl, the shank is shaped into a square with a rounded dome at the end, leading to a long, arching stem made of ruby-hued acrylic. The stummel is finished with a smooth chestnut stain that highlights beautiful tendrils of flame grain along the bowl's flanks.
