Amorelli Partially Rusticated Bent Bulldog (Frac) (**) (Unsmoked) Tobacco Pipe

Amorelli uses briar from the mountains of Sicily and ages it at least five years prior to turning it into pipes, and this bent Bulldog is a great testament to the fruits of their seasoning process. The bowl is rusticated up to the rim and stained darkly above the single beadline, but the flame grain below is arrow-straight and smoothly finished with a honey-colored stain to allow the grain to shine as brightly as possible. The typical diamond-shaped shank is bent upward into a lengthy, tapered stem of black acrylic that handsomely finishes this piece, but it's the grain that truly plays the starring role, showing off the close attention Amorelli pays to the briar of each pipe they turn.
