About This Pipe
The shape of this Tulip from HS Studio may not ring a bell immediately, but the shape is essentially how it sounds — a wavy lip extending outward from the chamber and a curvy waist give the bowl of this piece a profile very much like its namesake flower. Flame grain and birdseye decorate the smoothly finished bowl, which is backed by a short stub of briar shank before a lengthy accent of horn reaches up to welcome the vulcanite stem. The stem tapers back from a single expansion ring, bending slightly on its way to the bit to finish this piece with a touch of poise.
