Founded in 1950 by Viggo Nielsen, Bari was known for producing a wide range of shapes, many of them showcasing a combination of Fancy Freehand and traditional Danish styles. In terms of silhouette, this "8416" Brandy is a more reserved offering from the marque. There's a pleasing sense of proportional balance throughout this piece achieved by pairing the plump, visually bottom-heavy bowl to a relatively thick, low-set shank. Said shank is joined by a lengthy saddle stem whose arrow-straight posture and slender bit add a touch of sleekness to the profile. The stummel showcases a medley of handsome grain, with a particularly lovely patch of birdseye on the bowl's left flank. A smooth, auburn finish accentuates this handsome grain, and imbues the overall piece with an air of understated elegance.
