About This Pipe
In 1969, Danish pipe maker Søren Refbjerg Rassmussen founded a large workshop, producing pipes under the name Søren throughout the next decade. Later in life, he shifted his focus to handcrafted pipes, producing them under the name Refbjerg. These pipes typically showcase classic Danish sensibilities, as is the case with this Brandy. There's a cleanliness of line and an overall sense of balance here that's unmistakably Danish. The bowl demonstrates a reserved yet noticeable taper to the rim, and it stands proudly at the fore of a sleek, low-set shank-and-stem arrangement. The stummel wears a smooth, chestnut finish, which not only accentuates the briar's attractive grain with aplomb, but also makes a fine complement to the brindled finish of the cumberland stem.
