About This Pipe

Montana-based artisan Micah "Yeti" Cryder boasts a diverse portfolio containing a variety of silhouettes and an assortment of stylishly modern finishes and accents. Yeti pipes also encompass the best of the Danish and American carving styles — this Eskimo being no exception.

Pioneered by Sixten Ivarsson, the Eskimo is characterised by a squat, Rhodesian-esque bowl and a broad, flat shank that tapers into the stem. This rendition from Yeti is a highly stylized take on the iconic shape, though it still retains the aforementioned criteria. The bowl's rim is subtly arched and dramatically inflated, with a kiss of craggy plateau at the fore for some rugged organicism and textural contrast. Crisp ridgelines frame the broad shank, adding some structure to the otherwise fluid form. The stummel showcases a wealth of gorgeous grain, with tight clusters of birdseye running the length of the shank and dotting the rim, and hearty tendrils of flame grain fanning out across the flanks. A rich chestnut contrast stain emphasizes the stunning grain, and a gently upturned stem of jet-black vulcanite tops off the composition.
