About This Pipe
Tonino Jacono's father-in-law worked in a briar mill and offered Tonino a business opportunity: create a pipe-making workshop that only used his highest quality briars. So, Jacono was born, with Tonino creating fashionable, well-engineered pipes at an accessible price. This neoclassic Pot from Tonino Jacono pairs a stout, generously chambered bowl with a shank and stem that gradually taper toward the bit. Proportionally, the bowl maintains the visual focus in this pipe that sits, thanks to a flattened underside. It's dressed in a handsome, earthy rustication, left unstained, sure to develop a nice patina over time and use. The rim of the bowl is crowned with a highly organic, uniform section of plateau, which is demarcated by a smooth section just below the rim.
