About This Pipe
To indicate the caliber of his work, Tonino Jacono uses a chess-themed grading system wherein the relative value of each game piece corresponds to a different ranking for each pipe he produces. In ascending order, his pipes are ranked as either Pawn (sandblasted), Knight (rusticated), Bishop, Rook, Queen, or King. Having received the Bishop grade, this bent Cherrywood showcases plenty of handsome grain accentuated by thoughtful shaping.
This Cherrywood is sure to make a fetching desk pipe, thanks to its eye-catching stain, tall bowl, and sturdy sitting capabilities. The chamber of this offering verges on two inches deep, making this pipe well-suited for longer smokes, while its ability to sit upright on its own makes it well-suited for the multitasker who likes to set their pipe down between puffs. Dressed in a deep, contrast-rich stain, the stummel showcases hearty tendrils of flame grain and handsome birdseye throughout, with just a hint of tactile ruggedness on the flat heel, thanks to some sandblasted birdseye.
