About This Pipe
Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982, establishing a reputation for crafting high-quality briars known for their robust proportions and playful shaping cues. The Italian atelier's style has come to define the Pesaro method of pipe making. Each of their pipes is imbued with a unique character, reflecting the whimsical creativity that goes into their crafting. Mastro Geppetto is Ser Jacopo's sub-brand, offering more accessibly priced pipes while still maintaining a high level of workmanship. Crafted in the Ser Jacopo workshop, these pieces embody the playful Pesaro style of their pricier counterparts, with this bent Brandy being a fine example. In the typical Italian style, the bowl of this piece is robust, providing ample space for filling the palm. The shank is uplifted and extended by two knuckles of bamboo, adding an organic disposition. The stummel is finished smooth with a deep stain, highlighting the lively grain and contrasting nicely with the shank's pale bamboo.
