About This Pipe
Founded in 1982, Ser Jacopo is now one of the most influential and iconic pipe brands throughout Italy. Founded by Giancarlo Guidi, this workshop helped popularize Pesaro shaping and is known for working with high-quality briar to create whimsical and flamboyant pieces that exaggerate the classic Italian style. A Ser Jacopo sub-brand, Mastro Geppetto offers similarly playful pipes, including this bent Brandy. A muscular interpretation of the shape-chart standard, this piece provides plenty of substance in hand while displaying a timeless silhouette. The insulated walls of the bowl rise from a sweeping heel to a flat rim that looks into a capacious tobacco chamber. Out back, the high-kicking shank-and-stem arrangement gradually tapers to the top of the stem base before giving way to the slim, smartly bent bit. The swirling white and cream of the acrylic stem contrasts well with Mastro Geppetto's Sabbiato finish, which provides ample texture to enjoy throughout the stummel.
