California native Chris Morgan began his pipe making journey in 2006 after being introduced to pipe smoking by his grandfather. He values the trial-and-error learning process of autodidacticism and is mostly self-taught with some help from other established artisans. He produces pipes under a variety of different lines, with some of his most iconic being Bones and The Briar Cigar. The Briar Cigar, a patented design of Morgan’s own creation, combines the look and design of a cigar with a chamber for pipe tobacco, while the Bones series highlights briar as a natural material, not shying away from inherent flaws in the briar to offer budget-friendly, everyday pipes.
