About This Pipe
Dating to the Iron Age, the Carnyx was a Celtic wind instrument typically used in battle to rally forces and intimidate enemies. It was incredibly tall, rising above the heads of an army, and the bell was often shaped to resemble a snarling boar or other such ferocious animal. Fittingly named, Rattray's Carnyx series presents a similarly long, bent Dublin Churchwarden design across a variety of finishes. It's the perfect pipe for relaxing smoking sessions in a favorite armchair. This particular "G" example is fashioned from ash wood and features a graphite chamber insert that is tasteless, odorless, and easy to clean..
--Davin HyltonNote: While all of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
