About This Pipe
Featherweight proportions and classic shaping define Ropp's "J03," fitting well into the French marque's style of trim renditions of shape-chart standards. The "J03" is a lithe bent Billiard, the elongated shank-and-stem combination transitioning into a rounded bulb of a bowl on the end. Such a slender profile accentuates the bulbous nature of the bowl, while still keeping this piece exceptionally lightweight — well-suited as an easily pocketed, on-the-go smoker.
In the Etudiant line, Ropp presents pipes that are fashioned from old-stock stummels sourced from the Chapuis-Comoy factory — like the French marque's Vintage, Vintage Stout, Vintage Superior, and Algerian Superior series. Etudiant pipes are designed to be lightweight, workhorse smokers, perfect for beginning and veteran pipesmokers alike, and offered at an attractive, budget-friendly price point.
