About This Pipe
Though not as compact as the Bulldog found in Ropp's Stout line, this "637" remains quite a muscular rendition, with the bowl on the squat end of the spectrum and the shank matching said stoutness. The ridgeline is well placed around the bowl, almost perfectly in the center and giving way to equally angled tapers above and below. Such design cues make for a well-balanced composition that fits in well to Ropp's ever-traditional style.
Sourced from old stummels found at the Chapuis-Comoy factory, Ropp's Vintage line presents old-school, classic designs that were turned decades ago but never finished. This piece is dressed in a dark-stained sandblast and fitted with a stem of genuine horn, hearkening back to the style of mouthpieces from the early 1900s. It accentuates the vintage motif, making for a thoroughly retro aesthetic.
