Brindle Bulldog (XX) (2025) Tobacco Pipe

Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This Bulldog by Ashton presents a superbly sleek profile, as the diamond shank-and-stem arrangement linearly tapers from a wide transition to a trim bit. From a sturdy heel, the chamber's walls flare to a broad waistline, which is engraved with two beadlines, before tapering back to the rim, giving the bowl a muscular profile and facilitating a robust in-hand feel. Additionally, the colorful stem offers a dose of flash to the pipe's otherwise muted palette.
