About This Pipe
Italian artisan Claudio Cavicchi boasts over 50 years of pipe-making experience and possesses an uncanny talent for bringing out the very best from a block of briar. His portfolio is full of evocative interpretations of classic shapes, and he is known by many artisans to have some of the best grain in the world, with even his non-graded pipes rivaling the top-tier pieces of other workshops. Having received an impressive four-C grade, this bent Pot is an excellent piece from the seasoned artisan.
This bent Pot is a thoroughly Italian neoclassical rendering of the traditional shape, exhibiting plenty of substance about the bowl and hearty proportions throughout. The upturned shank features a stunning silver mount, which is joined by a comfortably bent saddle stem. The stummel showcases a wealth of gorgeous grain, with tight tendrils of flame grain climbing the walls of the bowl, and dense curlicues of birdseye dancing around the rim and along the top and bottom of the shank. Cavicchi's signature smooth, honey-blonde finish emphasizes these gorgeous grain patterns, and its warmth makes the perfect backdrop for the silver's cool, metallic gleam.
