About This Pipe
The Chinese Zodiac follows a 12-year cycle, with each year represented by a symbolic animal. One enduring legend holds that the sequence was determined by a great race convened by the Jade Emperor, the animals' finishing order establishing their place in the calendar. The horse claimed seventh position, and 2026 is thus celebrated as the Year of the Horse. For decades, Dunhill has marked this tradition with an annual Zodiac pipe, each crafted in limited numbers and adorned with a sterling silver band engraved with the year's animal.
For 2026, The White Spot's Zodiac pipe is the "15" bent Pot, presented in this series in Group 5 size. The "15" is a bent Pot with a stout, full-bodied bowl and a sinuous shank-and-stem arrangement. Although serialized out of 380, only 306 pipes were actually fashioned in the Cumberland finish: All numbers containing "4" were omitted according to Chinese numerology, and the number one remains in The White Spot's archive, with this particular example stamped as number 259. Moreover, this piece comes complete with a series-exclusive leather pouch embossed with an image of a horse to match the pipe's horse-etched accent of sterling silver, and it's fitted to a stem of dark cumberland.
