About This Pipe

One of the biggest names in Italian pipe making today, Castello's roots can be traced back to 1947, when Carlo Scotti founded the workshop and began producing handmade briar pipes. At the time, handmade briars were uncommon in Italy, but that would soon change as Castello discovered customers' desire for high-quality, handcrafted pipes. In a time of quantity over quality in Italy's pipe making history, Castello flipped the script by prioritizing craftsmanship, high-quality materials, and cutting-edge engineering. Today, the brand remains committed to these same principles, as evidenced by this Milano Cortina Rhodesian.

The Milano Cortina collection is a limited-edition lineup consisting of 120 serialized pieces, all handcrafted in 2025 to celebrate the Winter Olympics and commemorate the Christmas season. Like a snowflake, each pipe in this series is one of a kind; no two are exactly alike, though they all share Castello's distinctive style and impeccable craftsmanship. Each pipe in the collection features a silver accent band adorned with two golden snowflakes, and they run the gamut of Castello's signature finishes, with this strapping Rhodesian dressed in the handsome Old Antiquari sandblast.
