Pipe of the Year 2019 Rusticated P-Lip Tobacco Pipe

Since 1997, Peterson has released a new Pipe of the Year design each year, dressed in a variety of expert finishes; while many of these shapes have been new entries into the marque's catalogues, others have had deeper origins — shapes of years past, revived from the archives. For 2019, the marque decided to revisit the origins of an icon: the "999" Rhodesian. Modeled after a vintage stummel they found in storage, the 2019 Pipe of the Year celebrates the original "999" Rhodesian or "John Bull" shape, complete with its extra stout proportions, broad sterling silver band, and patented P-Lip bit. It's presented here in Peterson's signature rustication, offering a stimulating texture that complements the form's muscularity quite well.
