About This Pipe
Similar to the "606" and "608" from Peterson, the "605" Pot exudes the Irish marque's muscular style, but it also presents a few notable revisions. Compared to its counterparts, the shank and stem of the "605" are markedly trimmer and lengthier, eschewing Peterson's typically tubular aesthetic in favor of a lithe and elegant profile. However, the bowl is also substantially stouter, making the "605" ideal for those who prefer pipes of a lightweight demeanor but don't want to sacrifice chamber capacity.
Similar to the Donegal Rocky series, Peterson's Derry line dresses pipes in a rugged rustication, but instead of a jet-black mouthpiece, the Derry features an acrylic stem of swirling chocolate and caramel tones. Named after the second largest city in Ireland, known for its distinctively hilly topography, this series appropriately dresses the stummel of each piece in a craggy, well-textured rustication with an earthy walnut stain over top. A bright nickel army mount completes the presentation, offering some aesthetic flash and allowing the pipe to be broken down easily for cleaning.
--Davin HyltonNote: While most of our other pipes are photographed individually, these are not, and you may expect some reasonable cosmetic variation between the example we've photographed and the pipe you've received.
