About This Pipe
Based in Pesaro, Italy, the Rinaldo workshop was founded in 1987 when two brothers, Elio and Guido Rinaldo, left their positions at a large pipe-making company to start their own endeavor. Since establishing their workshop, they've never looked back, working alongside each other in harmony to produce around 1,500 pipes annually. This bent Billiard is part of the workshop's Megas line, which is marked by larger-than-life shaping that's bold and dramatic — even by Italian pipe-making standards.
As to be expected from a Megas pipe, the bowl of this Billiard is massive, boasting plenty of chamber space within and filling the palm with its robust curves. Behind the bowl, a high-kicking shank emerges from a tight transition, joining a sinuously bent, tapering stem that promotes an easy, relaxed smoking posture. The stummel is replete with craggy, stimulating texture thanks to its deep chestnut sandblast — Rinaldo's signature Lithos finish. With its craggy finish and bold, dramatic proportions, this offering is sure to appeal to fans of the Italian neoclassical style.
