Autograph Smooth Bent Dublin (8) (6mm) Tobacco Pipe

Savinelli's Autograph is a limited-production, handmade series from the Italian marque, featuring stummels of specially aged briar that are turned by the workshop's three most experienced carvers. One of the latest offerings from the series, this bent Dublin quite an impressive piece.

The composition marries organic, flowing lines with crisp angularity, as ridgelines frame the rim and shank to lend them a subtly geometric appearance. Meanwhile, in profile, the lines take on a more fluid sense of momentum, the bowl ebbing forward as it fans out to showcase an impressive display of flame grain. The shank takes on a gracile bend, as does the lengthy acrylic stem. Said stem comes in a vivid cobalt hue, with fine swirls of white that evoke the look of ripples in water illuminated by sunlight. Moreover, the cobalt stem creates a striking contrast with the stummel, which has been treated to a silken auburn finish.
