The Savinelli family's legacy began when Achille Savinelli opened a humble tobacco and pipe shop in 1876. By 1948, Savinelli was one of the largest pipe manufacturers in the world. Savinelli typically adheres to their traditional shape chart, but Savinelli's Autograph line focuses on freehand-shaped pipes made from their highest quality briar. Furthermore, only Savinelli's most experienced artisans craft their Autograph pipes, with every piece being the work of a singular carver's creative vision. This bent Dublin is one such form, featuring a tall, canted bowl at the fore of a languidly bent shank-and-stem combination. The shank retains some of the bowl's robustness, extending all the way into the base of the acrylic saddle stem. The stummel is beautifully dressed in a chestnut stain that highlights the briar's grain in stunning relief. The bowl showcases striking tendrils of clear, uninterrupted flame grain along its flanks, while the rim is adorned with exquisite birdseye patterns.
