About This Pipe

One of the cool things about Giancarlo Guidi's massive bent pipes is the drilling. Bear with me here. Even in what most people would think of as a medium sized pipe/tobacco load, most of us will run at least a couple of cleaners through to absorb moisture. Heck, add a deep bend to a pipe, and I am up to about four. The closer a cleaner can get to the draft hole, the more moisture it can pick up. For me, a pipe this size is about four relights and at least a half a dozen cleaners. When it comes to deeply bent pipes, Giancarlo uses a special, flexible curved drill that creates a smooth continuity from the shank into the draft hole. I just ran a pipe cleaner from button to draft hole and there was zero (zip, nada) resistance. The pipe before you wraps a huge, wonderful shape around this superb engineering, giving you a pipe that is as beautiful on the outside, as it is on the inside.
