About This Pipe
Known for pioneering the Pesaro style of pipe making, Giancarlo Guidi founded Ser Jacopo in 1982. Since then, the Italian marque has made a name for itself with its fantastical, imaginative interpretations of classic pipe conventions. This "Maxima" stamped bent Dublin from Ser Jacopo measures just under six and a half inches and has a chamber depth of over two inches. The bowl sits almost upright, its height towering over the rest of the composition in typical Italian style. The oval shank is low-set against the bowl, leading to a long stem made of tapered acrylic. The stummel is dressed in one of the workshop's prized rustications, adding a wealth of tactile detail to the design.
