Davidoff - Flake Medallions 50g
Found my coin
As a new smoker, I'd never tried coins before, but after trying my friend's tin of these I am hooked. The flavor is subtle and I find it better after having something stronger first, but I get delicious fig notes and fruits in this one. I even enjoy rolling up the coins to tear them apart and stuff them in my pipe. Had to get a tin for myself, I should've gotten it on SPs though...

As a new smoker, this one seems a bit harsh for me on my initial try. Perhaps it cellars well, and I bring it out more often, but for now I have more interesting tins to reach for.
BriarWorks - Back Down South 2oz
I expect this one to Grow on Me well
I've only had one bowl so take my thoughts with a grain of salt, but I was pleasantly surprised with the richness in this blend. Figs and a pepperiness for sure. For me it fell down a bit in the aftertaste, but not the worst I've had. Since VaPors are my latest interest, I expect to like this one more as I smoke more of it.
BriarWorks - Unsweet Tea 2oz
Woah, that actually kinda tastes like tea!
So, I'm a fan of unsweetened ice tea and figured I enjoyed the Peach Cobbler blend so I gave this one a try. At first it just seemed like a decent unflavored blend, but on the exhale I actually was shocked at the resemblance to tea. It wasn't every time I exhaled and it was subtle, but many times during the smoke I was shocked by how much the flavor in my mouth from this can reminded me of unsweetened tea. Very cool for an unflavored blend! And I expect this one to age well too.

My Favorite Aro
I'll preface this with I am new to pipes and I don't prefer aromatic blends as they all taste like cough syrup was added to tobacco. I like light-roast coffee as I want black coffee with all the caffeine and flavor and none of the bitter aftertaste. So take my recommendation in light of this. This is a well-made aro blend that everyone in the room likes even my wife who doesn't like smoke. I did not think too highly of my first bowl, but after she said this one smelled okay on me, I gave it another try. Now after getting halfway through a jar, I need to stock up. This is a light aro that smells subtle and great, and has no bitter aftertaste like most other tobaccos, aro or not. This is always my last bowl of the night now as it smells great to everyone in the room and is one i consistently enjoy now.

I got a tin of this on a whim at a local store, not knowing anything about it. I get a strong rum note which is unpleasant for me. I'm hoping this one gets better in the cellar. Maybe as others have mentioned here, the honey will come out and play later.
