Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - American Delite 50g
Wonderful Stuff
This is one of those tobaccos that seems to be a love it or hate it type blend. Some say they get a soapy aftertaste. To me, it's similar to 1Q but more nuanced and with more thought provoking qualities. I opened a tin that was two years old and it was quite moist. I emptied the tin and let it air out overnight. I smoked the tin within two weeks in a Chacom Champs Elysees pipe. I thoroughly loved this tobacco and immediately ordered more to cellar. The smoke was light and cool. It was lightly sweet, a little bready with a hint of tart. There's a nice toasted waffle with a carmel aftertaste and a faint floral hint in the retrohale. It packs well and burns clean. If you like 1Q then I think you will love this tobacco. I rate it 4.8 of 5.

Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 2oz
Not For Me
I've been wanting to try this tobacco for years now but just never pulled the trigger before recently. I have to say that the disappointment is real. So many of my fellow pipers enjoy Briar Fox that I just knew it was going to be great. Definitely not for me. Just a mildly spicy, hot smoke. It reminds me of a cheaper cigar. I am an avid tobacco enthusiast and I like a wide variety of pipe tobaccos from Burley plugs to Lakeland blends along with cigars and even a pinch of skoal or a chaw now and then. I must be getting to bougie in my older age with the pipe tobaccos because this is one that I'll probably give away to a less bougie friend. I rate it 2 of 5.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Better than I Expected
Folks, I'm going to step down off my high horse here and tell you like it is. This is a good solid all day smoke. Packs easy, stays lit, delivers some solid flavor and is super reasonably priced. I've seen piper purists turn their nose up but, shame on them. Granted, it doesn't have the complexity of some of your pricey hand crafted blends but sometimes you just want to smoke your pipe! I know for sure I will keep it in stock at all times. I rate it 3.8 of 5.

Vauen - Nature (4400-61) (9mm)
Great Pipe
I can't say enough good about this pipe. It smokes perfectly and looks great. The lighter natural color has darkened with use and it looks even better. It's super easy to pack, I really love the depth. It's also easy to clean. This is one of two pipes I keep in my travel case and it gets a lot of use. Highly recommend!

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Ennerdale Flake 50g
Delicious to the End
Woof! Simply delectable from start to finish. I have avoided the lakeland blends because I've heard so much about them ghosting pipes and tasting like soap. What a mistake! I'm about half way through this tin of Ennerdale and it just keeps getting better. A little nutty, super fruity (almost like candied fruit), thick creamy smoke, a floral note on the retro. It's just a juicy mouth bomb. I used my Archer Bent Egg and I don't even care if it ghosts the pipe. I'm always going to have this tobacco around to smoke in it.

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
Worth the Price
Simply delicious and worth the few extra dollars. OGS is a fine tobacco but doesn't have the consistent refined taste of Capstan. The sweet smoky taste of Capstan is just too good to pass on. The flakes are consistently perfect whether you fold and stuff or rub them out. The sweet, smoky slightly bready aftertaste makes Capstan Blue one of my favorite tobaccos and a must for Virginia lovers.

Vauen - Auenland 50g
My Favorite Aromatic
This is a truly great aromatic. It delivers in every aspect. Great taste, room note, and burns consistently. It is a little wet upon opening so I dry it for a day. I will always keep it in stock.
