G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
Good
This is just good. And that's coming from someone who still frequents aros. This is not an aro; this IS a latakia-forward English, but in such a pleasant, campfire-like, relaxing way. Full of flavor, smoky, perhaps you get the other Virginia and oriental leaf weaving in and out of the picture, but just good. Had it back-to-back with Chelsea morning, and I kept picking this one up. I like this one late at night when everyone's in bed, as the name suggests. If you appreciate Lat and aren't sure, it's a classic for a reason; give it a go late at night. Might not be your main lane like me, but I bet you'll keep some around.
Lane Limited - RLP-6
mothers milk
This was the second blend I tried after 1-q, and I found it had a much more natural, deeper tobacco flavor while still being a very approachable and pleasant aro. 12 years later, and I still keep a jar around. Virginia flakes awesome, some quiet nights to drift off to bed, yes please, but RLP-6, I'm never without. Put it in your pipe, light it, and sit on the porch and watch the wind blow. It doesn't demand much from you, almost always behaves, and is always like going home.
Molina - Peppino Sandblasted Brown (YR) (9mm)
Surprised
Surprising little pipe I didn't think i'd keep reaching for. Bought it as a pocket throw away-ish. Im now a Molina fan. At first, I thought it unrefined, little chunky and honestly cheap feeling. Who cares for its originally intended purpose right? BUT Smokes like a charm, handles Va/per coins, Va flakes, and burley like a champ. Do your self a favor and don't over think it. Need a romping around town pipe? yard pipe? grab one and watch how your perception changes as you reach for it when your alone instead of your Sav or Peterson.
