Warped's limited-edition, Halloween-themed release, Scarecrow combines proprietary Red Virginia Cavendish — a rich, naturally sweet variety crafted from deep 2017 Reds and 2019 Orange-Red flue-cured leaf — with 2014 White Burley and vintage Dark air-cured leaf, yielding notes of malty chocolate and warming spices. Subtle top notes of chocolate, vanilla, and caramel enhance and complement the natural tobacco character of these select components, and the entire mixture is pressed for days before being sliced into old-fashioned crumble cakes, further marrying the flavors and enhancing its aging potential. Only 4,000 units were made for this seasonal, limited-edition run.

I hope they make this again. The tin smelled like a pillowcase of candy after a long haul on Halloween. The first half smoked that way too. Nicely done!

I highly recommend this blend if you are a fan of sweet flavors. I compare it to a much sweeter Autum Evening, it is great accompanied by your favorite pumpkin flavored drink.

Jeremy Reeves is perhaps the best tobacco blender today, and we're very fortunate to be able to taste his creations. Masterfully composed, the composition of this screams comestible from the very opening. It's clearly a strong, boozy, butterscotch liqueur. It's in your face and lovely. That butterscotch flavor transpires to the leaf quite well and interplays with the sweetness/nuttiness of the VA/Burley throughout the entire smoke. VERY consistent for the duration and that in itself is rare. As it's allowed to breath, the perique has become evident. Yes, there's perique in this. All the nuances of the various leaf types are evident and come together marvelously. It is stout on nicotine, and I'd rate this at 3.5 out of 5. Full flavor, medium body, strong nicotine... I could smoke this and only this and be content. Highly recommend. * Going on my 3rd tin of this as of 11/27/24 and it's become a favorite. I'm detecting cinnamon in this from time to time as well, which is a very pleasant compliment to the buttery caramelized sugar. For those that claim the topping is chemical or volatizes away; nope. This was topped with a reduced/concentrated liqueur and I suspect, spices. It stays with the tobacco through to the end and tastes phenomenal. I don't get the negativity. What a Surprise!

Earlier this year I asked Smokingpipes if Scarecrow would make a return and they said no! I'm so happy they were playing it close to the vest. What a pleasant surprise. This is awesome. I can't wait. Also, I only ordered half the allowed number of tins, so everyone has a chance to try this beauty. It is so good. Very strong, high in nicotine, rich in flavor and body, and curiously cool on the palate. Even if you don't like aromatics very much, there is enough stout, natural tobacco flavor here to satisfy. And who doesn't like a big boozy blast in their pipe? It will definitely scare off the crows, but the room note is so inviting that it won't scare off the wife. Note: My review of October 2021 is less favorable than this one, but I'm going to leave it up anyway because it illustrates how Scarecrow can grow on you. Wow..at last I get my hands on Scarecrow 2024!
This is nothing short of amazing,the tin note,the toppings,the natural tastes of the tobaccos are all in a perfect harmony!Great aroma,great tastes!This is for sure not a spooky goopy aromatics!Thick mouth filling smoke of sweet,creamy,chocolaty,dark,earthy,smoky with the caramelized candy corn taste,love it!
The Krumble Kake comes with a perfect moisture level,easy the break,rubs easily,easy to light,burns cool,smooth and consistent at moderate pace throughout the bowl.
