生草：强烈的烟熏与木香。
点火后：明显的烟熏味、果香深色系水果、柑橘、木香、少许皮革和泥土。
口腔里面能感受到明显的果酸，之后会有适口的酸甜感。
烟气方面：烟熏感强烈，过鼻刺激，烟雾浓郁、柔顺、斗温不高，燃烧缓慢。
总的来说，这款草是性价比比较高的一款斗草，虽说裁切和味道方面会有些许的粗糙，不如传统英式草来的精细，但是你不能否认的是，它如此低廉的价格，能有这样的香气与果味，还有什么自行车呀？PS：可能唯一让我困扰的是它现在没有切片版本了，并且时常断货。

My first couple of bowls were in a clay pipe, I switched to an Old Dominion cob and that really kicked up the flavor. Virginia just loves those Old Dominion cobs.

没点燃前有很重的熏烤的味道，揉草后手指头会很脏。抽起来有V草的甜以及L草特有的烟熏，皮革味，美中不足的是层次比较简单，缺少变化。
23年10月再来尝试，罐养两年后。口感和风味变得异常醇厚起来，L和V已经完美融合了。叫人欲罢不能。

is probably my favorite tobacco and this is just like it somehow, without the top note or cavendish. which helps provide a cool burning and creamy nuance, but it’s been pressed/melded with the VA and has undergone a physical/chemical change which mellows the pronounced creosote which Latakia so often imparts. That process has simultaneously taken the edge off the VA as well, resulting in a very mellow PH with enhanced sweetness. It is a tad stronger in nicotine, which is unexpected. st the herbs in the Latakia? Having grown up with a lot of campfires and spent a fare amount of time trying to keep the smoke out of my eyes and throat (though it annoyingly seemed to follow me everywhere) I don't mind a bit of the woody smokiness but ive had my share of that taste already and I'm not that enamored with Latakia in general because of it. I need a lot more in a blend to make it interesting. For me, this can be a fantastic winter smoke but not a daily.
Update: few more bowls, actually the Latakia seems pretty well balanced with the Virginia. Kind of growing on me. Read Less

it had was slightly better presentation. Lancer Slices are the torn-up flakes which many of us are used to seeing, but in bulk they tend to fall apart and get quite a bit of chafe at the bottom of the bag. I would prefer these in actual slices or flakes (think SPC's Plum Pudding or the thick flake of Samuel Gawith's S.J.F.). All the same, I like it very much. Lancer Slices have quickly become an everyday blend for me, but that may not be the case for many, being rather heavy with both Latakia and nicotine. If you love English blends, I suspect you'll enjoy these. Read Less

As one reviewer mentioned, very similar in makeup to SG Balkan Flake, with no Oriental component other than Latakia--I think slightly smoother with no "Lakeland" overtones. Just a well crafted, nicely presented broken flake, I like to use this one to break in pipes which will be used for Latakia blends. This is beefy stuff and delicious. Very reliable for me with every smoke. Good sweetness from the VAs and the Latakia is blended with it fantastically. Maple-sweet, but heady and smokey. Both extremes are here.
