Tin dated 3/23 - it was a joy! The cut is very fluffy for a ribbon cut. Packs very well! I keep checking the contents, surprised only virginia, latakia and orientals make up this blend. It has a little bit of complexity to it. This is the kind of smoke that leaves a savory aftertaste on your palate. Reputation deserved for Father Dempsey! I’ll be sure to keep a few tins on hand! If you like Balkan Supreme you will like Father Dempsey. It is different than BS but in a good way. Far better than any Sutliff “English” blends by a long shot. I bought 4 ounces for my first order and a pound a month later.

It's been very consistent since I first discovered it in 2017 but the latest bulk batch is MARKEDLY changed. It still very good but it's a disappointment. Hopefully it's an aberration and they'll correct it in the future.

I love me a good Catholic themed tobacco. This is a pretty standard but delicious English mix with classic notes of pepper, leather, incense, and wood. It’s a bit one note, but it’s a very good note!
