Daughters & Ryan: Two Timer 16oz Pipe Tobacco

This is basically Prince Albert sans a chemical cavendish casing. I detect anise in the smoke, but it burns clean and dries out like it's raw. It tastes like dried maple leaves raked into a pile, leathery oil, tangy nuts, and sweet barley. The room note is musky but people seem to like it. I like the cut and the flavor, but it's a bit heavy-handed on the body and nicotine. 20 years ago this would've been my daily smoke, but I've been sitting on a particular bag for three years now - wow did it mellow out. I got the 16oz bag and have been using it only for RYO. I am halfway through the bag and I can say that it is not a bad smoke. Although, it is not what I was after... By no means I am blown away with its quality. Also I got a bit bored with it and I still got about 8oz left to smoke...

A very nice simple burley at a great price. Good, real tobacco taste. I pack it tightly and sip slowly to get the most flavor. Works great for blending too.

Great simple burley. Slightly sweet ,nutty, and a little spice. If you are a burley fan than this is about as good as it gets for a straight burley. I prefer it in a med. sized bowl. Brew some good coffee and sip on a bowl of this in the morning and all is right with the world.

This is a blending tobacco, like many D&R offerings, and it's probably the finest double toasted Burley in the world right now. Dated September 2019, it is fresh, no rehydration needed. Presentation and subsequent smoking, pleasurable, with flavor and strength being in the upper mild to low medium level. I was surprised and my fear it would be RYO chemical laden, proved to be unfounded.

When I opened this tin of burley it was PACKED to the brim! They really can cram a lot more tobacco in when it's not drenched with a bunch of additives blenders commonly use. The tobacco itself is really nice in appearance, a quality leaf. The smell is both sweet and nutty like the description clams. The only problem I had with this blend was that is was dry to the BONE! No big deal as a quick rehyrdation fixed this. I smoked this blend out of all kinds of pipes and enjoyed the tin very much. One reviewer says that it is an honest tobacco, which I agree completely. It's very straight forward, clean, and very smooth. It lacks in complexity but to me, that's what this blend should be. It smoked the same down the entire bowl. It is earthy, has amazing notes of toasted nuts. I got a great natural honey sweetness from it at times. Every bowl burned easily with no relights required. Fun to smoke while walking the dog or driving to work. I also smoked this in a bunch of pipes to help with cake building and it did a super job. So, for the price this is a solid blend. Quite good if you like burleys. Good honest smoke.

This is the worst tobacco I have purchased from Smoking pipes. It is so dry that it has no flavor or room note. I bought 1 oz. of latakai localey and mixed them and dumped it in a humador.
