A smooth, pure, British-style blend of Virginia tobaccos, Three Sails from Daughters & Ryan uses specially-selected, flue-cured gold leaf tobaccos and an ultra-fine cut to produce a pleasing smoke and presentation alike. With a mellow, easy-smoking profile and a fairly quick burn time, this blend would make for an excellent roll-your-own option, blending component, and would be great smoked by itself as well.

For the price, especially on sale, it's fine. But it's obviously cheaper tobacco and is nowhere near OGS or Capstan (for anyone thinking that). An all day, unpretentious smoke. Smells like cigarette tobacco.

I like shag cut tobacco. I pack it tight and smoke at a slow to moderate pace. The slower one goes, the more rewarding the smoke with this tobacco. I smoke it daily. When my palate becomes labored this stuff is a good cleanser. It is a basic no frills solid smoke and over time I have come to appreciate what it has to offer. Been smoking this for Years!. It is dry, BUT, I add slices of Orange Peel when i first open the bag. Shake it up and let it sit sealed for a day-ish.... good thing is... if it gets too moist, i can let it sit with the bag open until i get it just right.... I have been ordering this 16oz D&R packaged bag for years, and order it usually 3 or 4 times a year. The last couple bags I have received have been a tangle of smokable shag tobacco and an inexcusable amount of stems, stem shavings and stem chips. Whether used for RYO or in a pipe, I have never had to remove this many pieces of stem from any other blend I have smoked. This bag was probably 2oz of stems. Never again....Read More
