Good flavor, but a nightmare to smoke

I enjoy the smell and the flavor of Luxury Bullseye Flake, it has notes of oats, honey, some hay, and is a bit reminiscent of a barn in a good way. Unfortunately it’s completely unpleasant to smoke. I’m constantly fighting to keep it lit, the draw is all over the place and it constantly clogs my pipe. It’s too high maintenance to smoke regularly. I’ll likely shelve it as I have better things to do than battle it every time I want to enjoy a smoke....Read More

Burn is hotter than escudo imo, perique is nonstop unlike escudo its there it’s not. I’m not seeing much if any taming by the cavendish. I love the room note. Both above mentioned are great stuff. Definitely a daily driver, don’t smoke it in a dainty thin walled panel. It requires a beefy bowl. Very good!! Smoked in a Bonnie Briar Ravinia and Peterson Army....Read More

One of my go-to's

I absolutely adore this flake. Im not going to fake I love most VaPer flakes but this one is affordable and absolutely amazing. Its smooth and velvety from first light. Unlike navy flake which starts off peppery then transitions to sweet bready dark fruit goodness with the pepper on the retro. The added cav center smooths it out from the onset. It ages beautifully too although ive never been patient enough to let it go beyond the 4yr mark. But even just one year has amazing results. I smoked it fresh for a couple years at first prior to starting a cellar and its amazing fresh as well but man it comes alive with a little patience....Read More

I smoke a lot of Escudo, have for awhile. But I’ve been wanting to cellar my collection and I’ve been looking for something to help me resist the temptation of opening another tin. I’ve found it. Nice sweetness, smokes cool, mild spice. Everything you want in a VaPer. Perfect moisture, little to no drying time. Will be buying more and bigger soon. Wish I hadn’t slept on this for so long despite knowing of it for awhile....Read More
