i often find myself reaching for blends i subconsciously think are “better” or of higher quality when it comes to the VaPers, but everytime I smoke this it never lets me down. It’s good every time. It rarely bites. It’s smooth and doesn’t burn out. I smoke this blend more than any other. I hope to start deep cellaring this blend with a few tins. The way this blend works is so fascinating to me. If you smoke it hot, it’s harsh, bites a little, and tastes like hot air. But if you can slow down and sip it, the retrohale is wonderful. I get a great amount of citrus, breadiness, and almost a honey or marshmallow like quality when you sip it (especially in the mid bowl). I also find it fascinating how after the first quarter to half of the bowl, the perique pretty much disappears. First few minutes give some mild perique pepperiness, and then the blend mellows out. As much as I can’t stand STG, i’m glad this blend has remained good enough for me to enjoy as a young pipe smoker. I wish i got to try the old versions of it!...Read More
