After my first good puff my hair promptly turned white while my eyes rolled in their sockets like a slot machine. Jackpot! I've devoured half the tin and I don't think I can get out of my seat. Life is good.

Incredible, full bodied in flavor, and meduim-full in strength. It is very well done. It is very smokey and tangy on the tin note. You think it would be latakia forward, and it basically is, but with that said the orientals and VA's hold there own, and are right there with the smokey-goodness to deliver sweet, sour, bready tones, all right up front. You might think the flavor profile is a bit "busy" and too much going on, but it really isnt. That is the magic behind this blend. Very very well balanced. Tin note of smoky, mildly syrupy, and earth. Tobacco ribbons are mostly black with some brown and a little tan. Its damp but not wet, no drying needed. Burns moderate with few relights. The strength is medium and nic is mild. No flavoring detected, despite tin note. Taste is medium to full and consistent, with notes of smoky wood, salty earth, musty leather, toasted bread, lemon grass, mildly spicy, semi-sweet nutty background note, and a very peppery retro. Easily in my top 5 Balkan blends. It's a carousel of flavors; at once Latakia forward, then next Oriental. The Virginias add sweetness to the richness and savory smokiness of Latakia and Orientals. Top notch Pease blend for sure

Odyssey is a smooth and bold English. The stoved Virginias in it really balance the flavor.

Nice Latakia presence to me. Very significant, but not overwhelming everything else. As described, it's big. Deep, rich, but I also find it very well-balanced... sweetness, smokiness, nice dimensions from the Orientals. Complicated enough to be interesting -- but refreshingly straightforward. This blend is by far, my absolute favorite out of all GL Pease's blends. It trumps every English I've ever smoked. The name is a foreshadowing of an Odyssey you will embark on that is full of rich creamy perfectly balanced smoke. PLEASE do yourself a favor and try it!!

Sometimes it's wonderfully deep and transporting, others it's harsh and tongue-stabbing. I've never been so torn in my opinion of a blend.

Not as full as I remember. Needs to be smoked in a very large bowl for full enjoyment. Overall a nice balanced blend but I prefer more latakia flavor. Perhaps it needs to age a bit.
