Not quite as expected.

Except it’s a Balkan/english. That’s what you get. You have to pack it very carefully in order to smoke it. The Latakia and oriental battle for the lead and neither quite win in the end. There’s an underlying sweetness from the cavendish and Virginia. They say it’s unsweetened black cavendish but if you’ve smoked BCA or smokers pride black cavendish you know that flavor and it’s there just mildly and not so much in your face. While it would make a ball day smoke for some I can’t get past the cut. I’m no fan of thin shag cuts that call themselves ribbon cut. Cornell and deihl make much better bulk ballans or English blends and they cost less. So I’ll stick with those. I will not be purchasing any more of this one as it let me down. Just not enough oreintal or Latakia to keep my interest. Very mild in all regards. Too mild for me to justify getting more. Admittedly Star of the East has spoiled me. So I’d recommend it over this any day!...Read More

This blend presents a floral, grassy, mildly sweet and entirely light smoke with a smooth woody finish. It still provides the campfire-esqe latakia notes English blends are known for, but in a form that can be enjoyed throughout the day and even into the night.

The Best Balkan/English

I love 1820 Flake (Penzance) and Plum Pudding ( and PPSR)…but I actually prefer Balkan Supreme to both of them. It’s incredible and costs a fraction of the amount of both of them, especially Penzance and 1820 Flake.

If you lave English blends then this one is a must. Try it and you will not be disappointed. Again taste is subjective.
