Gabriel Bass

Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in central Arkansas, Gabriel feels at home in mountains and swamps, wherever they may be. He studied in the Mississippi delta at the University of Arkansas at Monticello before moving on to West Virginia University to earn his MFA in Creative Writing with a focus in Poetry. A longtime customer of Smokingpipes, Gabriel was well pleased to come to the Grand Strand in the summer of 2022 and work in one of his favorite hobbies. In his free time, Gabriel can often be found playing old-time tunes on his banjo, working on his manuscript, or queuing up George Jones on the Waffle House jukebox.
