For those who are just as shocked as I am that it's 2026, an old-school, nostalgic blend like Two Friends' Homeward Bound can be a comfort. It's an Aromatic blend of heirloom Burleys, Red Virginias, and Bright Virginias, enhanced by dark stone fruits, candied tree nuts, and subtle hints of booze.

"The new tin art for the Two Friends line will be familiar to anyone that has spent time in old tattoo shops looking at flash art. Classic, old-school, ink-styled images. I may buy the whole line up just for the tin art. But, wait there's more. . . if you buy now, you get a free utility . . . that slices, dices, and . . . . This tobacco has a nostalgic appeal. For my nose the tin note is caramel, vanilla, with a hint of liquor topping, some nut and bready hay. Once lit the top notes are there, but they diminish to share the stage with the base tobacco. They offer up some sourdough bread notes, wood, and nuts from the leaf that compliments the topping very well. I'm not detecting the fruit notes others have mentioned online, and I'm ok with that. I like it very much for the notes my palate does pick up on. Of course, I may pick them up in time, and that would be fine as well. The tin note strength is deceptive for my nose. I thought the topping would sublimate the leaf more than it does. This isn't a complaint, but a mere observation. This blend will likely have a strong following, and rightfully so.
