In Europa, Stanwell has launched the Royal Danish; don't mistake, Ashton Guilty Pleasure is the original mixture. Fruity, aromatic, with the good touch of Cognac, with a well balanced body, ideal for the fans of Danish Taste ;) Because of the out of ... Read More
stock I've bought it in Germany :( so, when our favorite shop will have it, order it; smoke it sweetly, put just a metal humidifier in the box, and enjoy. Not too fruity for the digestion :) it's not a cocktail, but a very complex mixture. Read Less

This one almost reminds me of the Caribbean Blue Line of tobacco, like this is a tropical vacation.

Tin note of vanilla, mild oranges and sugar. Tobacco is a course cut of black, brown and tan. Moisture content is ok, some will prefer to dry it out a bit. Burns moderate with a few relights. The strength is mild to medium and nic is mild. Flavoring ... Read More
is mild to medium, with notes of Citrus, Mango and Vanilla. Citrus and Mango dissipates rather quickly, and the Vanilla starts and finishes in the background. Taste is mild to medium and moderately consistent, with notes of tangy citrus, tart mango fruit, mild vanilla, buttery, savory, toast, molasses, dry wood, spices, cocoa, nuts, rich earth, floral, lemon grass, citrus peel/zest, brown sugar, hay, a creamy tart fruity background note, and a mildly peppery/smooth retro. Burley is leading with Virginia, Cavendish and Flavoring supporting. Room note is pleasant, and aftertaste is good. Read Less

I got this during my early months of enjoying piping...left it jarred away over a year,As time has shown, tastes are very individual in nature...and if I had just believed many reviews,I wouldn't have believed how much I enjoy this blend..it is very a... Read More

I’m on the fence. Didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it. But I did finish the tin! Doesn’t have much of the room note that you get from the tin (at least not for me), and it burns kinda hot. Just go easy with it.
Great aroma out of the tin.

This is not one of my favorites, but it’s not horrible either. Tends to burn hot and goopy. Will give it another try though.

This review is based on my notes from 2009. Tin aroma...very nice. Moisture content was just about right out of the tin. Taste...flat & bland. Where is that great smelling topping taste? Where is that very pleasant room note that an aromatic shou... Read More
ld emit? Where is the sweet Virginia and burley tobacco taste & strength? Smoked a large bowl and still felt the need for some Vitamin N. Didn't get much out of this stuff. The only other quality attributes this blend possesses, other than a pleasant tin aroma, is mildness & minimal tongue bite. I don't think quality tobacco was used in blending & feel the topping was lacking in flavor. Ashton would be well advised to improve on this blend. This tobacco is being judged on the basis of an aromatic blend only. That being said, GP IMHO, is worthy of no more than two & one half stars. Read Less

Smells great out of the tin. Pack tightly in a smaller bowl and it'll be good. The second half loses the flavoring but not bad.
Stays lit very easily if packed tightly
Highly recommend using a charcoal filter
1st try no good

I just tried a bowl and right away I got a sensation like it was going to burn my tongue. I will let it sit in my pipe and try again later.

I only gave Guilty Pleasure 3 stars because I prefer my aromatics to be more flavorful. The tin note is really pleasant and the flavors are all there, sort of like a toned down Erinmore Flake, really toned down. The quality is visable, it packs well,... Read More
no bite, a clean dry bowl when all is done, but it does burn very hot. With the reputation of Ashton I was hoping for more flavor with the pretty tin art. Based on this experience I won't be trying other Ashton blends, but no regrets that I did. I guess if you like the mildness of Ashton cigars you'll feel right at home with their pipe tobacco.
