About This Pipe Tobacco

Cornell & Diehl's White Lightning is a concentrated mixture of Red and Bright Virginias, combined with a good measure of Perique, and spiked with a bit of applejack, followed by the flavors of raspberry and vanilla for an electrifying smoking experience.

I'm not sure what to make of this blend, it's got a little bit of like citrusy zing to it, it lights easy and stays lit, smokes cool, it has an interesting profile, the farther down the bull you get the more I tend to like it.

UPDATE: I'm bumping this up to five, the more you smoke it the more you start picking up that little bit of a sweet raspberry flavor, in no way whatsoever is it overpowering, it's just there and it's delightful....Read More

This blend intrigued me. Perhaps it was the description of raspberry and vanilla notes. The tin note, to me gave a slightly sweet aroma. I am drawn to English blends, but lighting up a bowl of white lightening was a pleasant surprise. While I did not pick up raspberry or vanilla per se, I did detect a mild sweetness in the finish, and a very pleasant aroma. It was a consistently good smoke throughout. While I don't think I found a staple addition, white lightening is one of those pleasant surprises when venturing from the comforts of familiar blends. Give it a try....Read More

I bought this on another website, because I couldn't wait to try it. Sure am glad I got it, nice tin note of raspberry, with a hint of vanilla, but no taste of apple, but it has a nice zing to it, the strength should be rated 3 out of 5, as it has a medium bit of zest. It's really not what I expected, but much better, as the raspberry is what you taste first, and then comes the zing! Followed by a hint of vanilla in the back end, and the zest of the perique in the background supporting it....Read More
