something so Irish without making it to sour sour and I don’t know what to call it except “sunshine”. (That’s the smell of a curing barn in May when it’s being warmed for the spring and you smell 50 years of tobacco’s ghosts imbued in the wood.)
Sampled in a MM Missouri Pride.
I’m going to start this where I’m going to end up: it’s OK and probably an excellent “beginner’s Virginia”.
It’s smooth , and borderline creamy but juuuust enough red Va to keep it from getting overly sweet and still retains a little “tang”.
Watch your cadence here - fast rhythm folks like me can push it to just hot air if you abuse it. It packs in the bowl nice. The ounce I got was bone dry yet springy and the ribbon is nice and “tangly” so it easily “pills” up.
Sweet tea with honey and a squeeze of bergamot - that’s what I’d equate this too. It’s good - if not inspiring - but I have to wonder if at this point I’m so used to perique and Latakia and in your face oriental bite that I’m just immune to some of it’s charms.
I say all that because as good as it is - and it is good solid tobacco tastes going in here - I just keep wishing it had more of something else. As it is, it’s kinda a triple layer Virginia cupcake that someone forgot to put the icing on.
It’s good but for me there are way too many much better Va and VaPer options out there to invest much in this one.
My rating : 3

ed bookshop and virginia cream. I recently acquired my dream 320 ks and want to use it as an aromatic smoker. To break it in, I decided to mix this blend 50/50 with boswell’s rasberry cream and now I am in love. This blend added the strength and diversity that the raspberry cream was lacking. If this blend isn’t hitting the mark for you on its own, I highly recommend mixing with an aromatic....Read More

Just got my latest batch in last week in a 1 lb bag dated 5/08/24. Something I definitely wrong with this batch vs all of the other orders I've had of Yorktown. It is really harsh and vulgar.

give it a shot in another pipe and update if any better but definitely not one I would buy. Very dry smoke in the mouth as well. I couldn’t smoke without something to drink with it. Perhaps like another reviewer I got a bad batch but I didn’t taste anything really awful, just not much very good…Tin may be better I’m sure but I’d be surprised if it was a huge improvement. Pretty boring flavor and not nearly as rich as the Sutliff slices. Tried around 25-30 C&D products and just can’t get into most of them. A few I really liked here and there but this isn’t one. If you want a really dry and very little flavor Virginia you may like it but I would advise trying the tin rather than bulk from my experience....Read More

Earthy, clean hay with a touch of honey here and there. Leaves a nutty, almond-like aftertaste. I’m prone to tongue bite with this one, and have to sip it slowly.

Light, grassy and - yes - lemony leaves which burn smoothly and easily. The tobacco it contains is all Virginia and it is mildly flavored with Lemon and honey.

A Superbly Convenient Full-Spectrum Virginia!

inia blends where you don't need to rub out flakes or give it any dry time at all. Just pack and go! Great for smoking out and about, first thing in the morning when you're too groggy bother with rubbing out flakes, or when you don't have the time (or low enough indoor humidity) to let your tobacco dry on the counter before smoking.
Super convenient stuff, and a really top notch full-spectrum Virginia in terms of flavor! Very smooth and a good solid medium nicotine content too, with a pleasant room note like bread baking in the oven. If you like Virginias then Yorktown is an easy recommendation!...Read More
