About This Pipe Tobacco

Now in its fourth generation of producing fine pipe tobaccos, the Stokkebye family tradition began with Erik Peter Stokkebye, born in 1855, and continues to this day with bespoke blends, many paying homage to important dates in their family history.

Combining Red Virginias and spicy Perique, 4th Generation's Black Dot provides a bold, flavorful smoking experience.

As loose pipe tobacco, it’s clearly way overpriced. It seems it doesn’t care about sales at all, which is why it’s positioned like this. I really hope the price drops soon, so that regular consumers can actively buy it.

Why is this tobacco at $119 per pound? Is there some kind of special red virginias and perique that was used in the blend? Were women from a local church used for special handling/mixing of the tobacco's? Or is it simply corporate greed?
