Another C&D Underrated
December 24, 2018
Product: Cornell & Diehl Kelly's Coin 2oz
Kelly's Coin is another one of the infamous underrated, if not misunderstood, C&D Baccy's! Smoked, rather sipped, in a Nording Natural Signature Bent Chimney, 1 light, fine ash to the bottom. Wonderful nutty-earthy flavour with a sweet finish! ... Read More
Will be buying this by ten count stacks going forward! Well Done C&D, Well Done!!!!!!! Read Less
Strong and smooth.

Product: Cornell & Diehl Kelly's Coin 2oz
The addition of black cavendish is great flavor to add to the burley. It’s very similar to My favorite blend, haunted bookshop but without perique. It burns evenly and to the bottom of the bowl as does the C&D blends I’ve smoked. The black cavendish ... Read More

Good morning smoke

Product: Cornell & Diehl Kelly's Coin 2oz
Pleasantly surprised by this one, I’ve been trying to find a good first thing in the morning smoke to replace EMP, and think this is it. It’s a nice strong mellow tasting smoke with a kick. The cavendish really smooths it out with that nice slightly ... Read More

A very bold taste from this burley but it finished quite well.
A different side of Burley

If you're a fan of Burley, if you're a fan of strong tobaccos, you need to try this offering from C&D. This ribbon cut is a perfect moisture content right out of the tin. The tin note is primarily the vanilla/cocoa from the Black Cavendish with... Read More
some honey/hay notes from the Virginia. The Burley is barely noticeable on the tin note. Taste is not as strong as the nicotine content with the Virginas and Black Cavendish balancing out the powerful Burley to perfection with a slight sweet note up front. As another reviewer noted, this blend is underrated. Give Kelly's Coin a try and you will love it too! Read Less
Burley smokers unite!

Product: Cornell & Diehl Kelly's Coin 2oz
Wow! Straight up Burley, no holds barred, take no prisoners. Wanted something different to smoke on a one hour drive so I loaded a favorite Peterson 106 and set out. This was from a freshly opened tin dated 1/15/19 and just received recently. At firs... Read More
t I was put off by the strength and heat but when I figured out to take it easy, it became an instant favorite. I have a Cob full going as I write this. It’s strong, smoky and tasty. Gets better through the bowl and is only disappointing when you realize that you just smoked it all. Seems to be at its best in a briar but OK in a cob...both well broken in. Relighted are easy and I found myself doing that as I had to stop occasionally until I learned to take it easy with this one. It’s a pretty small ribbon and lights easily, smokes fast if pushed but pushing it isn’t right for the character of this one. There’s a definite sweetness here that improves as it’s smoked. Overall a very good tobacco. It’s real Burley. Could be a blender but I’m happy with it straight up. Read Less

Burley & Cavendish make strange bedfellows in my book. This is by no means a “bad” blend, but it’s not one I can smoke regularly. Many of the other reviews hit the high points, but it’s worth clarifying this is more burley than cavendish and mo... Read More
re palate-puckeringly strong than smooth. I’m a 3 pipes a day smoker, as something flat and strong I might not recommend this to a beginner or someone who is smoking more than one bowl in a sitting. Pro tip: go slow or start while seated. Read Less
