About This Pipe Tobacco
Pease's Chelsea Morning is comprised of sweet red and bright Virginias, fragrant orientals, a bit of rich Cyprus Latakia, and just a pinch of Perique. The leaf is blended in layers, briefly pressed, then sliced and tumbled into ribbons. Lively and engaging, with a subtle fruitiness, and an elegant, creamy texture, it's a great bowl to accompany the morning cup.

A Sweet Smoky Morning

Being Virginia dominant it is quite sweet and tasty, but the Perique adds a nice background spice to keep it strong in flavor — the Perique spice pairs perfectly with that of the Oriental as well. With the Perique flavor, I almost liken it to an English version of Bayou Morning. The Virginias are nice and bready in this blend and I assume it is primarily Red Virginias as I get little to no bright notes… typically darker notes. The brighter Virginias don’t really shine for me until the mid bowl, where I start to get the sweet grassy notes. The Latakia here is by no means dominant but incredibly rich — it doesn’t take the form of what I typically liken to a smoky and leather-like quality, but rather takes more of a rich and dark smoky flavor that isn’t gross or harsh.
This blend is so well-rounded to me, has little to no harsh edges, and is blended perfectly. The moisture content is great and i’m not sure I lit it more than 3 times. 10/10 in my book....Read More

Bare in mind I smoked this in the car on the way to work. It is a lovely morning blend, light-medium bodied base with just the right sprinkling of latakia to keep it interesting. This is better as a morning smoke for me then EMP.

This along with quiet nights is one of my desert island blends. It is a good english with lots of depth and character. It has enough complexity to focus and examine every puff, but still simple enough to sit back and enjoy the symphony.

rough the bowl. The smoke is light and creamy throughout the smoking experience. This tobacco mix is great with a cup of coffee or an English tea. I wouldn't keep it as an all day smoke, it's a good starter for rookies and the veterans and keeps lit well for an enjoyable pipe. I smoked this in my workhorse, Let Freedom Ring pipe.
